What are my chances based purely on these numbers 95.6 GPA since freshman year, ( I don't knoww what it is out of 4.0) and a 1680 on the SAT.

I know PSu is a numbers school, so I won't list my extracurriculars, whicjlh are quite extensive.

Any info on my chances is greatly appreciated as this is my #1 choice. Also I am a junior.

Since PSU uses your overall GPA as 2/3 of the equation and I don’t know how to convert your GPA to a 4 pt scale, I’m not sure what to say. As far as the SAT, yours is typically more in-line for a branch campus, which will still get you to University Park but 2 years later. Check out the following link for more info:

Since you are a junior, you have plenty of time to retake your SAT. You have an outstanding GPA for Penn State, but your SAT is low–if you can, try to take the ACT as well, as many students score higher on that.

Your GPA would likelybe something like 3.8, so you’re fine there… but the SAT score is a worry. Fortunately, since you’re still a junior, you can retake it in the Spring, and if necessary again in the Fall of senior year. Or you can try the ACT in December, see if you do better on it.

Would say a 1750-70 be a large enough increase on the SAT?

If you’re from PA, 1750 would be ideal. If not, 1850 should be your target. IMO, you cannot get in with a 1680 SAT.
