I was a poor 2.2 student my ninth and tenth grade, on 11th grade. I made a decision to change and to dedicate myself to school. My GPAS for 11th grade were Q1:2.60 Q2:2.84 Q3:3.4 Q4: 3.61. MY cumulative: 3.27 on 11th grade. In my senior year I just finished my first quarter and got a 3.67 GPA. My cumulative for the whole year is approximately UW 2.75. My SAT score is 1440. I am dying to get into Pennsylvania State University Park. I have 4 years of work experience. I understand that if they focus on my cumulative GPA I have 0 chances, but if they look at my progress of the past 2 years, will i have a good chance? I also have three legacies. My sister graduated in 2015, My brother is a freshman and My cousin graduated in 2014. We are all international students. I am working really hard to get a 4.0 in the second quarter.
Correction. My UW GPA for the four high school years is 2.75.
Could you not start at a branch campus?
Actually, they would factor in the grade trend, which in my books is pretty impressive. PennState may be a highmatch/reach, but you could look at other schools. What course are you looking at?
Is the 1440 two or three sections
Unfortunately it is over 2400. @pitt2021
I am trying to, but my dad, my mom and me would prefer for me to go to UP. Therefore I want to do the impossible to end there. @bodangles
Thank you. What do you think about the SAT? it is really low! PennState asks for approximately 1700. What would you recommend me to do to get admitted in to UP? By courses do you mean AP? Unfortunately no. @skyblade1234

Percent who had GPA between 2.50 and 2.99 3.61%
SAT, 25th percentile - 75th percentile
SAT Critical Reading 530 - 620
SAT Math 560 - 670
SAT Writing 540 - 640
If you’re below the 25th percentile in SAT, that means more than 75% of University Park freshmen have scores higher than yours. A whopping 96% of University Park freshmen have a GPA higher than yours.
@bodangles thank you so much! Very helpful.
http://www.budget.psu.edu/CDS/default.aspx You can also check out the other campuses to see what others are more in line with your stats.
@bodangles thank you once again!
If you want to increase your chances mark down that you want to start in the summer term instead of the fall term. It well help, but if you still don’t get in I would go to a branch university for 2 years than transfer to University Park. Just being honest it’s going to be really difficult to get in with your stats, but put down the summer term.
Yeah i know it will be sort of impossible. i really do want to continue the legacy. That is why i would like to go there and start at the same place where my siblings did: UP. If you have any ideas that could help my admission, please share. Thankyou. @obligatoryname
