Penn State vs. Northeastern

I have been accepted to both Penn State (University Park) and Northeastern University. I will be majoring in Information Technology. At PSU I was accepted into the Information Science and Technology (IST) program and at NEU I was accepted into the Information Science (IS) program. Both schools have very good programs and I'm having trouble deciding where to attend. PSU has a required internship whereas NEU has 18 months of paid co-op. At PSU however, a student can undertake as many interships as they want (most are paid). Both schools have new bulding to house the program as well.

Is anyone in either of these programs and can vouch for either one? PSU is a 1st tier school where as NEU is a 2nd tier, however I'm comparing the programs not the rankings. I was also considering RIT, however I felt it was too far from home, though I did get in.

I'd go with Penn St.

^Any particular reason???

Penn St. is just a MUCH better name and more prestigious. It will probably also provide you with better opportunities.

I understand you care about the programs, but all other things being equal, go with the better school...Penn St without a doubt in this case.

PENN STATE is much better academically and with campus life. If you decide that Information Science is not suited for you, there are plenty of good majors that you can select from.
These schools are totally in different locations. IF you want to go to a crowded city with like a hundred colleges, go to Northeastern. Penn st is in the middle of nowhere, smack in the middle of PA, but University Park is an awesome place.
I believe you will graduate sooner if you go to Penn St, too.
