Penn State vs. SUNY Binghamton

Hi! I really need some help deciding on school next year...

I was accpeted into the School of Management at Binghamton as well as Penn State's Smeal School of Business and I plan on majoring in finance. Penn State will cost me about $38,000 while Binghamton will cost about $29,000.

Money is a little bit of a factor here, so I'm wondering if it will be worth spending more to go to Penn State.

I know Penn State's undergrad business school is better (ranked 22 in the nation), whereas Binghamton's is 57. Also I know that Penn state is #1 for recruiting, and the alumni connections are crazy. However, I feel like Binghamton is very highly respected in NYC which is where I plan on working after college.

The most important thing for me is getting a good internship at a well respected financial firm (ex. Goldman Sachs, Merril Lynch, etc.)

What are your thoughts?
THANKSSS

If money is an issue, go with bing. But I wouldnt be too concerned about PSU being less respected in NYC. I think PSU could get you better internships and jobs, but Bing is great too.

Penn State (Smeal) vs. Binghamton (School of Management) for finance…Anyone?

lol I had to make this decision a couple of months ago. I decided to go to Penn State because they accepted all of my credits. Both schools are very solid and are well known throughout PA and NYC. So its really just preference where you decide to go. If money is a key issue, I would go to Binghamton.

Smeal ran GS, one of their other key donors ran ML
