School of Management

I want to major in finance and am deciding between Penn State and Binghamton. I got into the School of Management...Penn State would cost me an extra 7 thousand a year. Is it worth going to Penn State, taking out loans that would end up costing about $30,000 or should I go to Binghamton?

I saw in another post of yours that the cost differential is 9k and not 7k between the two.

Maybe you want to post how you calculated this cost difference between the two with real numbers. Otherwise, I am not sure anyone can you a meaningful opinion.

Answer these questions:

Are you a Penn. or NY resident?

Give tuition, room, board
and fees for each to you.

Subtract aid from either.

Give their net price to you.

SOM is a great program that’s pretty hard to get into. That plus the fact that Penn costs more would make it a no-brainer for me. Congrats on two good options, though.

^Hopefully my opinion was meaningful enough.

Hi I’m actually in a similar position and I paid deposits to both schools to buy me more time. I’m choosing between Penn State Business School and SUNY Binghamton. However, I didn’t get into the business school at Binghamton so I’d have to try and transfer in. I was just wondering what you decided to choose?
