Penn Transfer Applicants

Is there a site to check the status of our applications?

Also, when are you guys sending in your mid-semester grade reports?

my spring break starts on march 11th, so ill prob get them out before then

Arent the Mid Semester reports due March 31 -

i dont get it, can't u ask them when u know u got a good grade?

I think it's from March 1- 31. My semester started the last couple of days in January and I don't have midterms till the end of March, and since most of my grades are based on midterm+final I don't know how useful it's going to be for UPenn. I 'll probably send mine the 15th explaining the situation and then send another one after my midterms (if they go good :P)

is anybody applying to wharton this year?

yeah.. i started to slack off in the beginning of the semester, since all of my applications were in and all, but these mid-semester grade reports have made me desperate and i've been studying my butt off. i think it'll be a nightmare if i have any c's to show on it.

i was going to apply to wharton, but i didn't have the pre-reqs done (2 semesters of calc and 2 semesters of accoutning). i will only done one of each so i just applied to the SAS.

I'm on the same boat...My school gave me credit for AP Calc AB (I got a 4) so I didn't take calc, but Penn wouldn't give me credit for it so I can't apply to Wharton (I need other things too)...I'm just applying to CAS. I want to major in economics anyway. Still, I'm kind of hoping I get rejected so I can take the prereqs and apply to Wharton next year.

Just wanted to make sure....you do know that you can't transfer internally in to Wharton if you go to any other school within UPenn right?

yeah of course. i live on the penn admissions website. but anyways, jacknjill, i'm applying as an econ major also and i hope you get rejected too, and hopefully they'll admit me :] you can go ahead and apply to wharton next year, hehe.

hey guys, what are the transfer rates to penn? im planning on applying to the college and then just doing a wharton minor. anyone have any ideas as to what the difference in admission rates is? (btwn gen. college penn/wharton)

for transfer as a whole I think it's like 200 out of 1600?

Where are y'all transferring from? My sis is transferring from Bryn Mawr College to here.

yeah, it's around 200 /1600. and i think out of the 200 that are admitted, 20 or so are for wharton. so yes, it is extremely competitive.

i'm transferring from rutgers. where is everybody else transferring from?

Cornell University

William and Mary

20 or so are admitted to wharton, but how many of the 1600 apply to wharton?

zemook there is no such thing as a Wharton minor...

actually whartonalum, there are wharton minors.

http://www.college.upenn.edu/curriculum/minors/list.html

there are a few, but they're not your traditional specializations most students would want to minor in such as Accounting or Finance.

Minors available from Wharton:
Actuarial Mathematics, Biological Basis of Behavior and Health Service Management, Consumer Psychology, Legal Studies and History, and Urban Real Estate and Development.

Although you cannot as a college student "minor in Wharton" per se, you can however take as many Wharton courses as you want provided you satisfy your College degree requirements, and they can be listed on your resume under 'coursework' if you have such a section.

I've done negotiations and stat (stat-111 actually satisfied College's math requirements), and I intend to do marketing and some others.
