@Gracieo: I’d like to study neuroscience or Comparitive US government & Politics. Maybe US History…haven’t decided yet. My top choice is neuroscience, but I am so bad at math that I think I will end up dropping that major. I love history and government, so I’m considering majoring in those, but I’m not sure what I would do with them–don’t really wanna be a teacher. Good luck to your son with everything! Hope he makes the cut for Trinity!

@Ivy12375. Hey, are you near the fires? Did you have to be evacuated? We are not that close to it, but it’s still pretty scary!
It sounds like you have a lot of diverse interests and I’m sure that will serve you well in college and beyond.
Just two more days until we all hear from Trinity - really hoping to hear from Lafayette in the meantime, but I have a feeling my S will end up at CU…

@Gracieo: yes we’re near them–just about a mile away, but we have not been evacuated yet. Hopefully we wont have to be! Yikes!
I’m very excited! Good luck to your son… I’m sure he will get in! If not, hopefully he will be happy wherever he decides to go!

Acceptance with scholarship arrived in the mail yesterday.

@mompop - Hi…where do you live? Can you give your student’s stats? Thanks, Gracieo

SAT: 2310
4.3 GPA (UW)
Lots of EC’s (mostly focused on one), leadership, I assume great rec’s and essays. I don’t even know what the app consisted of… did it on her own. From the South.
Waiting until March 29 to compare schools.

Did anyone receive a call today from Alumni Relations? They called for my mom because she went to Trinity but she was not home at the time. She left her name and number for her to call back. My brother applied to Trinity and they only called to tell her that he was rejected out of respect for alumni.

@Ivy12375 - Hopefully you are still holding up well with all of the activity of the fire and wiating to hear from colleges…what a week!

I’m hoping that the information that is posted on the Trinity website tomorrow is accurate…since it still shows that my son’s application status is incomplete. We have contacted them multiple times and they assured us that they have everything they need for his application.

Nothing to do now but wait…I guess unless he gets wait listed, then need to figure out what to do next. Gracieo

Congrats to some, and good luck for happy news to others; my D2 is graduating in May and had a fantastic 4 years there, including studies in Rome…fantastic friends, teachers, campus…and I love the quad, the chapel and the communication in the urban area!

Waitlisted at Trinity

@decker3735 - how do you know? I thought info was not going to be posted until tomorrow mid day…

Do you mind posting your stats? Gracieo

ok im soooo nervous now… got rejected from my 2 top choice schools (brown and uchicago) trinity is #3 im terrified i hope im accepted good luck to everyone!!!

Good luck, you guys!
I applied EDI to Trinity and got deferred to RD. I am an international applicant so I am waiting for the online portal to give me some good news.

@gracieo- My mom went to trinity so they call alumni to let them know where their children stand in terms of admission. I live in RI and my gpa is 3.7 with 1970 on the SATs. I have volunteer hours, hosted 2 exchange students and been on one exchange. I have several APs and other than that only Honors classes. I think I was waitlisted because I did not take enough APs

The decisions are up on the website. My son didn’t make it…that’s alright it was a reach for him. They say in the letter they had over 7000 applications for 600 spots.

Good luck to everyone else.

Gracieo

waitlisted…oh well I was accepted to Scripps last night so I’m still happy :)

:( wow i cant even get into trinity omg denied…this seriously sucks

“We regret to inform you that we are unable to offer you admission to Trinity College.”

Just one sweet, short sentence like that? This is pretty sucks, really. I was rejected by 3 so far (Colby, Bowdoin and Washington & Lee), and guess what, they all write lengthy heartfelt rejection letters.

So far, I was only waitlisted by WUSTL, and I have to admit that their letter was really nice. Wprds were carefully chosen, and it makes me feel like I am so close to being admitted.

Daughter accepted…Online notice starts with congrats!

rejected from jamaica- wasnt my first choice, i’ll survive
