Trinity Hopefuls 2016

Hello everybody,

As you all know, Trinity College is going to release its decisions in about two-three weeks from now.
How are you guys feeling - anxious, excited, scared or confident?
What are your expectations? What is your gut saying to you?
Finally, in these last few days before the decisions come out, what do you all feel like doing?
Share it all up!!!

Well, a few people are saying that some LAC decisions are trickling in, so when I received a large manila envelope from Trinity today, my heart was palpitating. Can you believe it was just a letter/brochure from their Interarts program inviting me to consider their program “if you are admitted to Trinity?”

Of course, I’m thrilled that the Admissions Office let them know I was a “strong” applicant, but the timing was a bit insensitive, I thought. Giving people heart attacks… and you have to respond to the program March 30, arguably before we get news about admissions! Not cool.

Yes…as far as I know…Williams College has already started sending out early writes to some of its applicants and some of the other colleges are sending out likely letters as well.

Yeah I know that feeling :P. The excitement of the moment when you receive a package from a college that you have applied to is just awesome. Is Trinity your first choice?

Hang in there, you are obviously a strong applicant otherwise they would not have invited you to their program. With that said you can rule out the possibility of that heart attack that you were talking about. :stuck_out_tongue: Oh and btw do decisions come via email or by post?

Do u know when the decision will come out? And will it be available online? Sorry i havent checked

I just hope I get accepted with lots of aid! Tooo nervous!!!

@Monkey29992 - As far as I know - decisions will be mailed to RD applicants before April 1.

@Rme123 - I hope so too. Don’t get too stressed out about these decisions and try to enjoy your final semester in school. :)

I am more stressed out because I’m an international applicant. Don’t know if they’ll give me so much aid!

Fortunately the stress and tension wears off when I’m at school, so I’m enjoying this last semester to the fullest! :D

From their website:

less than 2 weeks left :D

Last year, acceptances came in a regular-sized envelope, not a thick packet.

@Rme123 - Which country are you from?

@monkey29992 - I am so glad that they have finally fixed the dates to release the decisions. :D

@MaryOC - Thanks for the info.

My gut is telling me I am rejected - I met someone who applied last year and got wait-listed, and I believe she is more qualified than I am. I know Trinity has fabulous aid, and you never know with admissions, so I just decided to try it. Probably a reach though. I won’t be surprised at all if I am rejected or wait-listed. It’s good to know that it comes in a regular envelope - Trinity is notorious for sending giant packages randomly for no reason lol

@CB228 - Its a good thing that you tried and gave it your best shot. I have only two words for you - be optimistic.

Can you believe I received another large envelope from Trinity again today? I thought this time for sure it was an acceptance, since I received that Interarts program info yesterday. Alas, it was a repeat Interarts invitation!! Do they have their forests to deliver so much paper. Got into Skidmore and SUNY Binghamton too - which will be best (all depends on $$$ though!)

Nicole when did you great about Skidmore?

I mean when did you hear about Skidmore?

^^ Trinity is playing cruel jokes on you, :-(

@Nicole914 - Look at the bright side of things. Maybe they are really interested in you and this is a hint that you might receive good news from them soon. ;)
