for your alternate major, have you done any of the pre-reqs for it?
I find myself packed with my current classes that i dont have time to add any more classes...which means i will not have done any pre-reqs for my alternate major by the time i apply..is that ok?

Obviously taking courses for both majors is in your best interest, especially if you aren’t admitted into the first.

Pick an alternate major that requires less pre-reqs. For example, my first choice was Business Economics, with Economics as my second choice. These two majors required exactly the same pre-reqs, except that Bus Econ needed 2 additional courses.

Honestly…I was in TAP and I didn’t take any of the pre-reqs for my alternate major…actually I didn’t even bother finding out what the pre-reqs were lol

Unless you have a really really impacted major, I’m pretty sure you will get your first choice.

Pick an alternate that isn’t impacted is the best advice, for UCLA try geography, I know a bunch of people who got declined BizEcon but got Geo as their backup!
