<p>I think they would view it as a good summer experience, but I don't think it'll have a huge impression..</p>
<p>Special programs like this don't count against you, but you don't have to pay big bucks for an impressive summer. A summer experience that is meaningful in terms of your EC's and one that shows initiative on your part would count more than just signing up for a program and attending. I'm not sure why it would mean more for an international applicant.</p>
