<p>I'm a junior who wants to be a journalism major at NEU.</p>
<p>I have been researching the stats of journalism majors, but I could find none.</p>
<p>So I was wondering if any journalism majors could post their stats here, along with classes they took, EC's etc.</p>
<p>I want to know because it's one thing to know that I may, or may not be on track for the school as a whole, but it is another thing (IMO) to know if I am on track for NEU's journalism program.</p>
<p>So help me out by sharing your stats!! ^_^</p>

<p>Hi. I was accepted in to NU journalism program.
GPA- 3.85UW 3.99 W
ACT- 29
I took almost all honors/ap classes.
EC- School newspaper (editor and writer) girl scouts NHS student council field hockey
NU has a great communications program, but I was accepted to the program at University of Maryland-CP and Penn state-up. I advise that you apply early action, because I know a lot of people who did not get in for regular decision. Message me if you have any other questions, I will be more than willing to help you.</p>

my stats are similar to jetsnynj’s:
4.0 W gpa
27 ACT
advances math class, honors (including journalism english class), and aps</p>
<p>involved in NYWICI, a communications organziation, wrote for school newspaper, writer at town’s magazine, field hockey all 4 years, clubs, etc. </p>
<p>my stats are nowhere near impressive, so i think its my EC’s that got me in- the fact that i have written for a professional publication probably shows dedication to the field and makes up for my mediocre stats. </p>
