^ 3.8 UW 2220 SAT
applied CAS undeclared

do you think “being reviewed” is a bad thing? i’ve been stuck on review since forever. It’s so frustrating! I don’t see how it could be though, lakers4thwin; your stats are really good! My SAT score worries me though. But my friend got in last year with a 1950 and 3.8 UW with the about the same classes but I have better extra curriculars.

i applied to CAS too btw. Chemistry major

Same as tinkerbell…applied to CLAS as a chem major

2020 SAT and 3.8 UW gpa.
SAT II Math level II 740, SAT II Chemistry 690

3.88UW and 1930 (ehh) here…

we all seem pretty qualified!! SATs can die!! haha lol

does anyone know if CLAS takes longer? I mean i know some people have gotten in. but my stats aren’t too horrible, and i know others have gotten in with my stats.

idk if they take longer for sure, but they are the biggest college within usc so that may be the reason why it’s taking longer… most applicants apply there since it contains the most majors.

I’m starting to get really worried…I’ve heard about people hearing…even here in NY where I am. I thought maybe Theatre (I applied for B.A.) would be the reason I would have to wait so long, but then I heard some people got into the theatre already Here are my stats…can someone tell me what they think my chances are?

General Comments, scholarship chances, status info, going to USC…?: It’s my top choice…and I really want a chance at their theatre school…which is totally up in the air at this point

Let me know what you think, please

Does anyone know why does my status still say “We received the fall grades we requested, and require no additional information at this time. We will mail decisions to freshman applicants by April 1st.”? I feel like im the only one and they’re ignoring me. Oh and my mom works there too so i don’t even know if employee benefits prioritizes me

hmm im not sure. i’ve never had the “fall grades status.”
i went from being reviewed>preliminary>being reviewed.

agestyxracer,
my d has had that same status as well. I wonder if it is because they received the fall grades later?? Did they write and ask for your fall grades. ?? They did ask for my d grades She thought she had put them on line but actually hadn’t.

She has a good gpa and just decent act. Great fall grades and schedule. How about you??

I think I’ve been stuck on being reviewed for months now.

I have a 29 ACT (lower end…) 3.88uw GPA, 4.54 weighted, with decent EC’s and a really nice essay. I work two jobs & tutor kids. Hoping I will get in!!

Oh, I am a 3 year high school graduate too, if that means anything. I was also waitlisted at Washington U in St. Louis, a little bit more competitive than USC so hopefully that gives me hope!!

From what I’ve observed so far in this thread, many people with this being reviewed status have their SAT scores on the lower end while their GPA is often above average. Wonder if this means anything…

Actually there was a theory about how USC does acceptances. Last year we believed that USC sorts out the applicants by merit. As you can see, scholarship candidates are first, then come the regular applicants (with a slightly lower SAT score than scholarship candidates), then comes the applicants who have slightly lower scores than the applicants in the previous waves.

You wonder if this means anything?
It might.

Yes, I’m quite aware of this tendency. I’m hoping that they are simply considering us at a later time, since these hard numbers may very well be a direct reflection of some cut-off decisions USC already made. I’m praying for the former case, of course.

dramajames-we have about the same stats-i have a 3.45 gpa and a 31 on the ACT and tons of EC’s. I hope we both get in!!!

I got my acceptance on March 19th and I have 2040 SATs, 750 Math2, 740 Physics. 4.09W GPA (3.9UW)

The acceptance letter itself was printed on March 12th. And the package was postmarked on the 18th. And on CC 2040 SATs is considered mediocre…

Congratulations! Still waiting here. But, I need to make some travel arrangements to visit (again) some Cal schools I’ve already been admitted to. Would love to fit in USC admit day during the same visit – if I am admitted, that is.

Can you tell me the date of USC admit day(s)?

Thanks.

congrats that so exciting trojandrew!
@mimizist That does seem to be the trend! hopefully we are just being considered later.
My SAT scores are a little bit lower than they should be but my gpa is 3.8 uw
Im hoping for the best!!
