Percentages for Deferrals

Anyone know the percentage of kids who get deferred that get in regular. Can't be high but I can always hope

14% i was told

I like those odds.

OK, not really

what would you give to be surrounded by 250 year old gothic architecture?

your soul perhaps?

Haha...it's funny how that 14% number has been passed around so much it's quoted as if it's virtually fact. I think I remember when it was first posted...somewhere...it was done so in a "I've heard it was 14%" sort of way. As with other things on CC, I'd be wary of a number that's popped out of nowhere.

I've been seeing this number a lot, so just thought I'd comment. I doubt Princeton would ever release such stats.

What’s the RD acceptance rate for new applicants?

about 8-9% I think

Sounds good

On a side note, what percentage of ED applicants get deferred?

CautiousPessimissm, you are absolutely right. I remember posting saying "I think it's 14%". If my memory serves me well, someone on CC had said he/she had 'heard' that figure from 'somewhere' :p

interesting

i think that percentage came from the number of cc deferred kids who got in. I think.

Northern Virginia rules. i hope that's where you come from.....or else

i emailed and called them... they say the percentage changes each year from 5%-14%

diego...NoVA REPRESENTIN'! where are you from?
