<p>750 is fine, if you got your point across in that amount of words.</p>
<p>Besides the 1000 max, I remember reading that you shouldn’t go lower than 250 on either statement. So I suppose you could get away with 500 words total, if you really wanted to.</p>
<p>They advice applicants to not make their personal statement too short. Just make sure your personal statement answers the prompt questions.</p>
