I read on the website that “Only approved small, caged, non-poisonous animals, or fish are permitted in the residence halls. Dogs, cats, and ferrets are strictly prohibited in any residence hall facility.”
Was wondering if hamster count as “small, caged, non-poisonous animals” and/or birds?
But it is “approved” small caged animals…what else but a hamster type thing would be accepted?
Just ask housing…they are there to answer your questions.
Emotional support animals are also permitted: https://students.case.edu/academic/disability/policies/animals.html. You would just need to get approval from Residence Life for your hamster—yes it counts, it just needs to be approved first.
