Petition for Kelley

As of right now, I'm sitting at a:

GPA: 3.76
SAT: 1230
ACT: 27

I'm interested in the direct admit process but how realistic are my chances through petitioning? On the petition, do they ask for extra curriculars , if so, I can list them?

I would say try to redo the ACT or SAT so at least one of your stats is significantly higher than the actual requirement. For example if you get your ACT to a 30 or 31 or your GPA to a 3.8-3.9 you can say, "while i am low in this area, you can see that I do have the potential to succeed in kelley because I have exceeded the requirement for ______ and I am a leader in my community by being in ______ clubs and having leadership positions in these. And also talk about how them giving you a petition could make kelley better.

Just retake the SAT and get 40 points higher on one of the sections. The traditional wisdom is that Kelley prefers someone to exceed the test score requirement, but fall short of the GPA than vice-versa.

I don’t believe the DA petition has a resume, but if you can incorporate some of your EC into the essay, it should be fine. Just don’t make your essay a written resume.

Do I need to submit a letter of recommendation or not?

I would say yes, it doesnt hurt to send some in, especially if you get a good recommendation.
