I'm soooo stupid, i missed the deadline to change my class from letter grade to p/np.
I was wondering, has anyone gone through petitioning to the dean for this exceptional change after the deadline passed?
was it very difficult to have it pass through? I'm thinking of going to L&S advisor to consult this with them, but I don't know how helpful they will be...
any input will be greatly appreciated!

L&S Deans’ Office is extremely helpful though very, very busy.

I haven’t gone through the process, but they have forms for everything. Most likely it’ll require you to do some leg-work and obtain a signature or two, but I don’t think they’ll harass you too much over it.

should i bother going to L&S adivsing at campbell hall? or just fill out the paperwork by myself? I’m so angry b/c the deadline was literally like 4 days ago… it just slipped my mind… i know it’s a hassel getting the petition completed, but is the dean office super picky in terms of allowing the class change? thanks again!

There doesn’t seem to be a form available online for you to do that, so I highly recommend dropping by the Deans’ office in Campbell. You might be able to ask the student aide at the front desk if there is a simple solution, but I suspect you’ll need to have a sit-down with a dean to go over what you’re trying to do, why, etc.

The Deans are quite helpful but being helpful also means they really get into it with you. ;)

If you do wait for an appointment with a dean (walk-in – you can schedule an appointment if you’d like), give yourself plenty of time. They stop taking people at 1pm (or earlier if they have a glut of people waiting) and it can often take 45-60 minutes to get in.

I actually found some kind of a form but dropping by will be helpful, i guess i’ll have to organize my thoughts tonight, thank you :)
