Okay so I have no idea if this is even possible…I just emailed my guidance counseler and will hear back from her tomorrow ,but maybe some of you guys might have some experience with this?
I had documented medical issues my first year at my community college which in turn, resulted me not going to school and failed some classes. One class specifically that should not affect my GPA.
Now I know it might not be reasonable if this course was a core education requirement to get an AA, but no…it was a “college prep” course that I was forced to take because they said it was required. Here I am about the finish my AA with great grades and have had 0 problems enrolling once I decided to come back to school.
My argument: Why should a “college prep” course that was recommended to me/falsely advertised as being required affect my GPA, when I have more than proven I’m able to handle a heavy course load? A class that I’m not even sure would be transferable to many Universities and not required by many Universities either? A course that I have not even received credit for. The whole idea of a “college prep” course is to help incoming freshman, not ruin someone’s future. If I was able to prove I could be successful college student, I think this course should be dropped from my transcript.
Like I said, I don’t even know if this is even possible. Can someone with some knowledge explain to me what I should do if its possible?
