Petroleum Institute - Abu Dhabi (UAE)

Hi everyone,

I’m currently studying chemical engineering at UCL in London, but recently heard about the petroleum institute in Abu dhabi. I have no knowledge of how well reputed this college is but it sounds very promising even though it’s fairly new. I would to know enough information about it to decide whether it’s smart to transfer or not. I also heard that they give you a job with ADNOC guaranteed after graduation.

Any comments or information you can share would be much appreciated!

I wouldn’t leave UCL for Abu Dhabi. Your UCL degree will go anywhere, in many industry sectors. Unless you know that it’s all about petroleum for you I wouldn’t specialize to that extent- especially not in a new school. Your UCL degree should let you walk right into many jobs, not just ADNOC. Again, unless petroleum is your thing and you plan to live in Abu Dhabi indefinitely.
