Cold days in the northeast so time to dress up the pup. Anyone else humiliate their pets this way?
Your dog could be my D’s dog’s sibling! (No clothes for her dog, though - Zoe doesn’t mind the cold.)
What breed? Ours is a rescue so we aren’t sure but we suspect Aussie Shepherd and Poodle.
She doesn’t get particularly cold but this helps her from becoming all “snowbally” and matted.
D’s is a Bernedoodle. The Bernese Mountain dog comes out in her when it snows!
Guilty; in my defense she has short hair and no body fat. The poor thing is always wrapping herself in a blanket in the winter
Those ears are awesome!!
Only for outside time! Our dog has a collection of coats/sweaters depending on the temp and depending if waterproof is necessary. The one in plum is our beagle/corgi/mutt with our grand pup golden doodle on a walk this past weekend.
How can something so wrong be so so right?
Oh , if we open up the Halloween costumes that’s a whole new ball game!!
In fairness we didn’t walk into PETCO and ask “do you have an outfit that would allow us to dress our 50 lbs dog as an enormous taco”?
It just kind of happened.
The ears remind me of The Flying Nun
This may be my favorite thread ever!
Our mini Jack (aka mutt) hates clothes, just wears a costume under protest on Halloween (recently college jerseys). My daughter bought her a really nice hooded fleece for Christmas ($70, she had no idea until they rang her up). She actually likes it and she hates the cold (short haired, 18 pounds, almost 12). She wore it one a 3 mile happily on Christmas. I’m so glad because winter is rough on her.
Am I mistaken, or do I see shame and horror in that nun’s eyes?
That’s a combination of judgement, compassion and a desire to have her ear scratched.
