Pets in dorms

Does anyone know which colleges allow pets (namely dogs) in dorms? I know MIT, Caltech and some others allow cats, but are there some that allow dogs?

I highly doubt it.
Also, you aren’t going to have time to take care of a dog in college.
Also, I’d be super ****ed off if my roommate showed up with a dog.

Hey, OP.

I go to MIT. In my dorm, there are two dogs (I think. There might be more), but they belong to the Graduate Resident Tutors (who are sort of like RA’s, I guess).

Pets on my floor include fish, a rabbit, a bird, a hedgehog, ferrets, and a turtle. The bunny rabbit and bird both got sent back home as they were not too happy living in dorm rooms.

A girl in my suite sometimes keeps her boss’s dog for the weekend. Since there’s already a dog on the floor, who basically lives with that same girl, it’s not a bother at all.

In my dorm (and all other dorms on my campus) no pets of any kind are allowed. Honestly, that’s probably a good thing. While I’m sure there are some people who would do their best to take care of their pets in college, the fact is that students simply don’t have time to spend with pets, and being cooped up in a stuffy dorm room all day alone isn’t good for an animal!
