Just was wondering if anyone here is planning on attending NU's Pharmacy program?

In terms of difficulty, does anyone have insight into the rigor of the NU's pharmacy program? I am currently deliberating between Rutgers' pharmacy and NU's pharmacy program. Anyone in the same position between choosing pharm schools?

I’m currently a student in the pharmacy school. I’m not familiar with Rutgers Pharmacy but I imagine the programs are comparable academically. The first two years of pharmacy classes are pretty easy (with maybe the exception of organic). However, as soon as you enter the 3rd year the classes are much more challenging. My roommates joke that you always know when there’s a pharmacy exam because we take over the library. I have never once heard anyone say that any of the professional classes are too “easy.” The co-op program is what really sets NU apart. There are so many great opportunities for co-op, especially with all the hospitals in boston and the pharmaceutical industries in cambridge. I have friends at other pharmacy schools (specifically MCP) who are having a hard time finding even a retail job.

A friend of mine’s dad is the vice president at Albany College of Pharmacy. When comparing Rutgers v Northeastern, he said Rutgers is nice for the first couple years when you’re doing undergrad - but then once you move to the pharmacy graduate building it sucks. He said that facility isn’t nice at all. Northeastern is in boston, has coop, and is private meaning is less dependent on the economy

Yah marcus111, I too am still debating. I’m waiting for my decision from URI before I choose, I was wondering what would be a better choice leaving cost aside. I have aways been leaning URI, but now I have no clue which to choose.
