<p>You don’t sign up to be the literal face of a children’s cereal box and sign up to be part of an anti-doping agency, then go and smoke a bowl. Better yet, don’t let yourself get caught with a bong. Which means not going to public parties with illegal substances, which means stop flaunting that your body shape enables you to win at the Olympics, which Phelps will never stop doing.</p>

<p>Personally i dont think phelps cares at all that he got caught. Tobacco is just as “dangerous” as weed. The law is not even going to get involved because it is such a minor offense authorities could care less.</p>
<p>Yeah… I don’t really get it. I guess he’s supposed to be this pure, perfect image of an athlete but he’s a person and a hit off a bong is hardly anything to even scoff at.</p>

<p>Phelps went to school part time. I don’t think he ever graduated. He was essentially there to train with his coach who he followed to Ann Arbor and now back to Baltimore.</p>
<p>Phelps is a victim of fame. Whoever turned him in is a lowlife scum-bucket. This said, Phelps should have known better. A man that wins 14 gold medals over two olympics is not going to have much of a private life.</p>
<p>In the long term, this is not going to impact Phelps a great deal. He has lost one sponsor but the others are standing firm and a bunch of other sponsors are still lining up. When all is said and done, Phelps will still be filthy rich and one of the most respected and decorated athletes of all time. Now if he could just stay out of trouble!</p>
<p>Yeah… Phelps has never been very good at that. I trained with him for for 8-12 months and it’s pretty obvious he isn’t exactly perfect. That said, I’m surprised that everyone is giving him so much crap - I want to know who sent the picture to News of the World! What a weasel… At least I don’t think Phelps will get into any legal trouble over a picture from like 4 months ago. </p>
<p>And no, Phelps never graduated he just kind of went to some classes… and had a pretty weak GPA while he was in them… haha…</p>

Well I know Phelps is very good in swimming, and he also attended University of Michigan- Ann Arbor. Though I also thought he was a very smart person, and graduated from University of Michigan- Ann Arbor with a GPA of 3.0+. Including that he has tons of money to spend etc…</p>

<p>I believe that was supposed to mean that sports management is a very easy major.</p>
<p>He’s in his early twenties. Its not really a surprise that he’s lettin loose after the biggest accomplishment in his swimming career. Young adults have fun and chill. To me its not that big a deal. Next Olympics he’ll break more records and they’ll be begging for endorsements and no one will even remember this. Its not like he was caught using performance enhancing drugs or steriods like A-rOD.</p>
