"I just feel like I would want to put myself through more work than I already have, I guess. "

You keep saying this.

Why would going to MD and not being in scholars mean you don’t have to work hard? Sure, freshman year at college is a bit of a breeze, but if you really worked that hard you should have enough AP credits to start taking your 300 and 400 levels second semester or at latest sophomore year. And if class is too easy for you the first year, try to join the paper or run for student government or do something otherwise meaningful.

Trust me, when you are trying to juggle reporting for the paper 7 days a week, working part time, participating in meaningful clubs, and still acing your classes…yeah, it’s going to be much more of a challenge than high school ever was. If you challenge yourself, that is.

Certainly you could skate by and take all of the easy classes for your electives or something and not be involved in any extra curriculars…but it doesn’t seem like you want to do that haha.

I worked my ass off in HS as well and the only year that was a bit of a joke was freshman year…the lower level classes are not worth your time…but again…I came in with 30+ AP credits so I didn’t have to take to many of them ;). But by the time you get into the 300 and esp. 400 levels, **** is intense.
