fluently except for spanish… not so fluent

did you post that on the apps, telling us is less helpful, and I can’t speak for Exeter, @FarisM, for exeter i don’t think you have what it takes academically, I myself didn’t even apply since my math skills would be boring in Exeter, Andover is less obsessive about numbers and the essays and interviews and overall impressional matter much more,

It just hit me, will the fact that I applied only to ANDOVER, HOTCHKISS, GEORGESCHOOL ruin my acceptance chances at Andover? do they want ppl that apply to all the schools?

No absolutely not, on the contrary, if you apply to everything it insinuates that you don’t care or know much about andover. 3 is an excellent number, :)

GREAT!

SHUSHUGAAAAAH: I need you to tell me what is my chance out of the 200 ppl applying for my grade; what is my chance(%)

Just pick a number that you think is best for me!
hope im not asking much :))

The ssat puts you in the “academically admissible” category. They use it to verify your grades. So yes, the SSAT is rather important.

@Craysian: thanks for clearing things up!
With these ssat scores, am I in the academically admissible category?:
Verbal Score 659
(Personal Score Range: 638 - 680, SSAT Percentile 51%)
Math Score 749
(Personal Score Range: 728 - 770, SSAT Percentile 67%)
Reading Score 713
(Personal Score Range: 692 - 734, SSAT Percentile 85%)
Total Score 2121
(Personal Score Range: NA, SSAT Percentile 72%)

PLEASE TELL ME SO I CAN BE PREPARED!

I am not at liberty to judge but if you want my opinion, thats kind of a low score for some top schools. I am not saying your chances are doomed but its well low

not much you can prepare for, I really don’t know at ALL what a typical andover junior applicant is expected of…are all the elite kids from 9th grade? what about the sports recruits…etc…I really dont know…can’t make up anything,

Anyone else???
Chaaaances??

Your teachers are not supposed to show you their recommendations under ANY circumstances. If Andover knew about this, your application would almost definitely not be considered. In fact, you most likely signed an agreement at the end of your application that said that you had no knowledge of what was written by your teachers.

While I am not one to judge, I feel that if you willingly read the recommendations the teachers offered to show you, not only are you and your teachers completely unaware of the American application process (which may be excused, considering your background), but you are also a cheater and do not deserve acceptance to these prestigious schools. You would be taking the place of someone who went through the process fairly and honestly.

If you made a mistake in typing that and didn’t actually read the recommendations, then forget about what I just said. If you did read them however, I urge you to consider informing the schools and retracting your applications. Do not take the place of someone who played the game fairly.

@lost1nth3music:
Believe me, my teachers suggested and insisted that I do the recommendations with them, in the beginning I agreed, because I did not want them to write them in English. But then I said to myself: I do not have a second chance in this kind of situation because I am using my second chance, that is why I have told my teacher I won’t do it with them, but I did agree to send the envelopes that were signed by the school administration…

However, I think I know what the teachers wrote about me, because everything I do in class, they will be like:“and that is what I wrote in your rec!”
That is why I said that I saw the recommendations, because I am sure (hope) that they are well!
