oh never really liked my mom

Lol but u'll take her money

like mother, like daughter

Wow. My entire paycheck is going to boarding school. To think, people of different backgrounds would not mix and mingle of boarding schools didn't give out financial aid.

xD; so i'm assuming you're not applying for financial aid, eh?
phew, less competition~

just kidding. but a shopping spree for me would be like 70 dollars and i'd savour it for like.. the entire month. haha. :P

Full FA! Poor as hell! Target and American Eagle, where $20 buys your heart's delight!

I'm so proud of my destitute life hehe

No, italianboarder, my gasp was because she dropped $330 on jeans at one time. I don't care if she could have gotten them cheaper elsewhere - she still dropped $330 at one time on one type of item.

As for what I'd see at boarding school in terms of readiness to spend tons of money, I'm ready for that, but I hope that people won't think they're cooler than me based on the fact that it won't at all hurt their pocket book to buy $1000 dresses that they'll never wear again while finding a cheap tuxedo rental for me would still put a dent in my funds. Rich kids...

And yay Saer! At least a few people on this thread are down to earth

it was a sale!

I don't even own six pairs of jeans

Does $330 not even register as an amount of money to you? I think it's kinda funny we're talking about this on an Exeter dress code thread but seriously, sheesh... My parents would never give me $330 to spend, let alone to spend all at once on one type of item. I've been trying to avoid using the word "spoiled" but I'm getting closer and closer the more you say, Senay...

Yes you do own six pairs of jeans, well you should.

It does register as money to me. I actually bought 7 pairs of jeans, one for a friend. A present, well, no, she didn't have money, and i was, like, okay, ill buy it for you. It was a shopping spree, like a special occasion, so it doesnt happen that often, usually once a month.

well, aside from regular shopping

No, I own two pairs of jeans - that's all I need! Don't tell me how many items of clothing I own.

Oh no, only once a month? Aside from regular shopping? Oh no!

Brat. Do you mean to be coming across like this?

dont appreciate being called a brat. very rude.

wow, i never thought it was uncommon to do shopping sprees, my friends go shopping at the mall weekly

i try to balance out my....indulgences by giving back to charities.

try to remember im female, also!

Don't appreciate being told I don't own enough clothes. Very rude.

Maybe you just live in a rich neighborhood and have rich friends. But honestly, I don't know too many people with tastes as expensive as yours. If that's what floats your boat, though, fair enough. Maybe someday you'll wake up.

I honestly don't give a crap that you're female. Your attitude is appalling regardless of your gender. I also don't care that you give to charity. You're pretty much obligated to with that much money. It's pretty damn easy to just drop money into a cup rather than actually directly doing anything though, isn't it?

Which schools are you applying to, anyway?

i do community service, and lots of it.

how is it appalling? omg, im a girl that likes shopping, that's soooo weird.

exeter, andover, emma willard, anne wright.

how do you survive on 2 jeans anyways, do you do laundry every 2 days?

Jeans don't get dirty with one day's use, just so you know. I don't exactly roll around in the mud all day. My school also has a uniform so the only real time I wear jeans for extended periods of time is the weekend. Two days.

Which school is your first choice?

exeter (10 character)

How was your SSAT and interview?

Haha, I beat you Tom!

I own three pairs of jeans!!

But if I had money to spend $330 on a SINGLE pair of jeans...if I had a million dollars~if I had a million dollars~I would buy myself a house~I would buy myself a car~(it's a song)
