Philosophy/Econ with Tufts

I am planning to apply to Tufts this fall and particularly study these two things. Does anyone have any experience with either of these at Tufts? Or can anyone tell me their friends' experience or the like? Thanks.

I have a couple of friends in all years doing Philosophy, so I know a bit about that. I don’t know that much about the econ department, but I believe it is quite good. Anything in particular you want to know?

I don’t have anything in particular. I guess I want to know how much they like the program. (They probably like it, or else they wouldn’t be there) Do they feel the professors are accessible? How do they feel about the variety of classes?

All of my friends do like it, a lot. Besides EC5 and EC13 (Intro. Econ and Stats), all of the classes in the econ. dept. are pretty small, and there’s definitely a wide variety of courses to take. Same with philosophy. You’re not going to have as much choice as you would have a big state school with 20,000 kids, but the classes will be a lot smaller and you can definitely get to know your professors. They are all definitely very accessible, and very happy to help you, from my and my friends’ experience.
