Hi,

I'm a philosophy major scheduled to graduated this spring from DU (University of Denver). Up until I studied abroad last fall, I wanted to go to law school. I did extensive LSAT prep and everything.

When I was abroad, though, I realized that I love to write and want to pursue journalism/creative writing (specifically Creative-nonfiction and Literary Journalism).

I've been looking at masters programs (mostly abroad) pertaining to creative-nonfiction and literary journalism, and most of the programs require an English Lit BA or Journalism BA (or something along those lines). My school, DU, does not offer journalism as a minor...so that's not an option...

I guess my question is....should I stay at DU another year and get a MFJS (media film journalism studies) degree?

Should I apply to get my second bachelor's at a school with a more specialized journalism program?

Any advice would be most helpful.
