I'm hoping to transfer to UCB fall 2011 as a philosophy major and I need to fill the lower division requirements. I was planning on doing concurrent enrollment this spring to take 1, but they are all full with long waitlists.

How rigorous are Phil12a (logic), Phil25a (hist-ancient), and Phil25b (hist-modern)?

I have already taken 4 philosophy courses (intro-phil, intro-ethics, intro-eastern phil, intro-phil of religion), so I definitely have an advantage.

I'm considering taking all three this summer, and I'd like to know how rigorous Phil12a, Phil25a, and Phil25b are.

What texts are covered?

What kind of papers are assigned? Length? Prompt?

Frequent quizzes? Journals? Or just a midterm and a final?

Anybody information on anything regarding these three classes is greatly appreciated.
