philosophy

hey guys (specifically jwblue),

i hear that nyu's philosphy department is very strong, and i am really interested by philosophy as a minor (stern next year). is it a minor that is worth taking on? what does a philosophy minor entail? and would it be too much to double major at stern and minor in philosophy?

thanks

you have to be crazy to get within 50 miles of philosophy....

what are you talking about, nyu has one of , if not the, top philosophy departments in the country.

im talking about philosophy the subject not philosophy the nyu major/minor

whats wrong with philosophy, i love it.

Supervil,

NYU's philosophy department is the best in the country (tied with Princeton for #1 according to most people). If you're interested in the area, I'd reccomend a minor (usually 4 clases...though these things do change..check on it) or even just taking some classes...many of the profs. in the department are amazing.

A double major in Stern plus a CAS might be tough I must say, I can't think of any of NYU friends who did this. Check with your advisors at NYU once you get there, they'll be able to answer this better.

Good luck
