I'm having a phone dilemma.
I have three options right now:
1.) Hold my current phone until the iPhone 5 is released. My current phone is a Samsung that is roughly 3 years old. It's nice for its age, and still works well.
2.) Go out and get a 4S this weekend. This is probably my most likely option. However, I'm a little scared to take this route because I don't want my phone to quickly become subordinate to a newly released iPhone 5, which should come out in the next few months.
3.) Get an Android (gasp) right now, next month, or whenever I please. The nice thing is that I could do this on my own time and my phone wouldn't be obviously older in a few months when the new iPhone should be coming out.

What do you all think? Do you have experiences with the 4S and really like it?

I have the iPhone 4s.
I changed her voice to a British males.
Needless to say I love my phone. If I were in your shoes I might be really tempted to wait for the iPhone 5. It’s supposed to be amazing. But dont go droid eww. ^.^

I would say wait for iPhone 5…it’s just a matter of few months…(if u are like a huge huge apple fan!) …if not get any other android like the latest one!

I LOVE IT. especially if you like games XD.

But check out the specs and new features of the 5 and compare it to the 4S. If the new features and all that good stuff aren’t that significant, go with the 4S. Or wait for the 5 to come out, and get the 4S at that point since it’ll be a lot cheaper. If you do like the new features, get the 5.

Wait for the 5. I have the 4S right now only because my last phone (Android) was very glitchy and would freeze. Not much use if it’s frozen, huh? So I got the 4S the day it came out. Get the 5 and see how cool it is.

Something else to consider: sometimes, when a new model comes out, Apple will let anyone that bought the previous model (in this case the 4s) upgrade for free, provided they purchased the 4s only a few weeks beforehand.

(someone please feel free to correct me if I’m wrong, but I feel as though this is what happened when the 4s first came out…)

@allshewrote I think the policy is if you have had the phone for under 30 days you can pay a restocking fee and get a new phone. I’m not sure if this is on all carriers but I know this is how AT&T does it.

Never heard of that AT&T policy about restocking and whatnot.

I’d wait for the 5, personally. Tech people estimate the announcement’ll be in October so Apple will do that wizardly thing where it goes on sale 2 days after that, so you won’t have to wait very long.
