Phone call, anyone?

I got a phone call earlier from a current CMU student working with the admissions office, asking if I had any questions about CMU and offering to assist with any of the admission process. Think this is a good sign, or do lots of people get one? I'm sure it's too early to tell, and I'm sure officials will say that it isn't at all indicative of chances, but I'm hopeful.

I applied to SCS by the way.

I’ve never heard of that happening before. Seems like a good sign.

when i was accepted to SCS ED, a few weeks before my decision I got a call from admissions asking if I had any more questions about the process. But they could just do that for everyone

Maybe this is just for SCS? I didn’t get one with my ED decision :(

I got a “Making Student Connections” call too. I wasn’t home unfortunately and they left a message with my sister! What was it all about? Should I call them back??

[I applied to CFA ftr]

I’m pretty sure my brother used to have that job at CMU. He worked at the Admissions Office and would call (accepted?) students to see if they had any questions. (This was about 2 years ago) I think it may just be a call they make to try and be helpful/friendly.

Best of luck!

DS got a call last fall after he visited, but before he applied. Wouldn’t read anything into it one way or the other.

My son also got a call after visiting but before applying.
