hey~
i'm a student living abroad. Rochester first said i wouldnt have to have interview coz im not even in US.
but now the office changes and requires a phone interview~
it's my first college interview~tho i've read tons of stuff abt interview~i still wanna ask you guys abt the interview thingy~
wat should i be aware of esp for rochester?
any special suggestion or reminder ?~
thanx!!~

I had my interview at a Barnes and Noble...it was really cool! I had done 3 others before that, and the questions had all mixed academics with social life...but rochester focused more on social things. They are going to get all the academic info, so they use the interview as a chance to know u as a person. We discussed the drew carey show, books, someeee academic things (not too much), why i like the school, how i got interested in the school initially, and other random things. Be prepared with a few questions to ask....but make sure u cant find the answers on the website cause that sorta implies that u arent that interested if u havent visited the website for info. Uhhhh, i guess just as long as u can carry a conversation u'll be fine! They arent gonna try to trick u with stupid questions like "what type of kitchen appliance would u want to be and why?" Hahahahaha my friend actually received that question from another school! Good luck :-)

thanx Julka~

but they didnt call me yet..
not even told me when they would call~

It seems to me that they should give you an appointment - even for a phone interview. Why not call and request that?
