Photograph in application?

I just got my Georgetown application today, and it asks for a passport sized photograph. I havent seen that on any of my other applications. It says it is optional, but should I put one in or not? What is its purpose?

It's part of the application. If you're ugly, it hurts your chances. If you are attractive, they give you "special consideration."

Hmm... so do you think they'd notice if I sent in a picture of Kiera Knightly instead? :P j/k

Thanks for the info.

:o I think your college ppl watch porn

It's not for nefarious purposes. It's designed to get to know you. I doubt it plays much of a factor in admissions. I don't think the ugly/beautiful thing affects it, but how you look (clean-shaven vs. something else, etc.) might be a factor. In all honesty, I wouldn't avoid putting it in there - makes it look like you are trying to hide something.

Should it be a professional-looking picture such as your official senior picture or just some random pic that was taken one night with your family/friends?
