Physics Ap

Is it true that Cal-at least L&S-won’t accept Both Physics B and C AP credit? if so, is that a fairly new decision? cuz i went to their site updated on 2002 and it said they do, but all my friends say they don’t.

Is anyone taking them anyway?

on engineering it said it would take a 5 ont he mechanics

Berkeley accepts a score of 5 on the C (Mechanics) with one important caveat: If you plan on specifically majoring in Physics in L&S, the department will NOT let you skip intro mechanics, but encourage you to enroll in the honors version. If you major in anything else, most departments (including other sciences and the college of engineering) will accept a score of 5. But of course, verify this info with the specific departments that interest you.

I have the AP Physics B exam tomorrow. With senioritis and everything I'm trying to debate pulling an all nighter to study for this exam. Based on what I am reading so far the Physics B will not help me in any way at all at Berkeley for Letters and Sciences?

Hey, I'm in the same position as you, Lakerak, though I probably won't find myself study for the physics B exam anytime soon.

As far as I know, physics B will not help you in any way at the L&S, Chemistry, and Engineering colleges.

Will we even get "ghost" units if we pass them. Will ghost units help out. Also overall aren't most the AP Exams simply a waste at Berkeley, meaning that these ap exams won't really help eliminate any general requirements?

alright a little more than 14 hours till the ap physics exam, any input?

if you pull an all-nighter, won't you be tired when exam time comes?

Yup, which is why I'm going to sleep now.

Even though I'm totally unprepared for it. Oh well, I could care less.

Yeah after wasting the past 5 hours im on chapter 6 of chapter 29 in the review book. I think its time to call it a night? what do you guys think? gnite

Been studying for Physics C all day after having ignored it the entire year. The test will in no way make any difference for college whether I pass or fail, because Physics 8A is a prereq anyway. It's a waste of time. My only reasons for studying are a.) I don't want to sit there for 3 hours not knowing what the hell to do, especially being the future Berkeley student that I am, and b.) I want to please my teacher. Plus I paid $90 to take a worthless test, so I deserve the punishment.

Bleh, I wasted a little too much time studying for physics B. I could have spent it studying for macroecon, which would actually give me credit.

Engineering accepts a 5 on Mechanics. I got 5 and 5 for both parts in C, but a 4 on Physics B. B is just a waste of time.

Today I went to Physics 7B lecture for the FIRST TIME since Midterm 1 (2/28). Apparently the only people who went were people who never go to class and since today is officially the last day of class, we felt proud to go. Then we found out there was no class, and of course no one who knew showed up because if they knew they wouldn't be there. HAHAHAHAHAHA us stupid ditchers =P

how do you learn anything without attending class?
