Physics is Phun!!!
Yes indeed.
Now, here's the deal: Physics is the only science I'm not drawn to, and I must take it for pre-vet req. Now, my AP Credit only covers the first semester of Physics and Lab - NOT the second.
SO I must take a second semester of physics in college. Knowing I don't love this subject, would it be good to take it over the summer and get it over with or will it be easier during the regular school year? Also, are there any good (or easy:-D) teachers that you know of at UF that teach physics.
Remember, I'm looking for the LEAST painful way to get through this.
Thank you very much.

Whether you take it during the summer or fall/spring, it is the same. If you are going to take it during summer (which is the entire summer, A and B), then I would take it alone because they move FAST.

It has been my experience (and many other people) that the physics professors are horrible. There aren't a lot of good teachers in the department. They're brilliant people, but unfortunately very few can actually teach.

Since you are prevet, you will be taking PHY2054, which is not as bad as PHY2049 (for engineers, science majors, etc.), but it is still going to be annoying. But from what I hear, the TA's for 2054 control a good portion of your grade, so my advice is make friends with your TA! There is an "effort" portion of your grade that is solely determined by your TA.

However, there are two professors that are pretty good- Yelton and Acosta. There could be others, but these two I know for sure. I am not sure if they teach 2054, they usually stick with 2048/2049.

One final remark, as a prevet, you can take either 2049 or 2054. But the vast majority of pre(meds, vet, etc.) take 2054.

All the the physics teachers suck to me. The summer is generally though to be easier but that when they allow grad students to teach the class and they can sometimes be better at teaching the subject than the professors. Since its summer C class you cant take it till next summer (if you do). Overall I don't really think it matters that much when you take it.
