I plan on doing that next year. I took Honors Chemistry (taught by the AP teacher who gives about the same amount of work) and Physics B (taught by the Physics C teacher who gives little work). I think Honors Chemistry and Physics B were pretty easy to handle, so I think AP Chemistry and Physics C shouldn’t be too hard, either.

Not bad at all. I know of many who do it, just stay focused.

Physics C is a billion billion billion times harder than Chemistry. Just fyi.

I’ve taken both physics C mechanics and chemistry. and honestly, it all depends on ur teacher and what your best at and what you find interesting. both are challenging courses…and webassigns do help :P. personally, i found chem easier and more interesting. but my physics teacher was terrible. good luck deciding!

if i am looking to go into the medical field which sciences should i take next year. I am def taking AP Bio but not sure about AP physics or Anatomy.

I will assume medical field = physician

Anatomy would certainly be a beneficial, while fun, class to take (I assume still in HS, so no college cred). I would have taken that had I had the opportunity in high school. If you’re not strong in the hard/technical sciences (hard meaning not soft), then taking AP Physics could be beneficial to you, because you could then retake the course in college and it would be easier. However, in general, I would say most pre-med students retake their science AP’s, either because of the GPA buffer or because some med schools frown upon it/others don’t accept it, or both. You’ve also failed to mention the AP’s you have already taken, as well as the AP’s offered/you are willing to take.

Oh sorry, I took AP chem and History this year and next year just plan on taking Ap Calc BC and Bio for now, not sure about physics.

I’ll give you my biased opinion, you should take AP Physics (C?). It may open your eyes in ways that would not be opened otherwise.

whats physics C i know there are different ones i am taking honors physics this year and i think next year AP physics is electricity and magnetism

AP Physics C is a Calculus-based physics class with 2 parts: Mecahnics and Electricity/Magnetism. Because there are 2 parts, there are 2 tests, commonly referred to as “Mech” and “E&M.”

yeah we are learning most of mech i think this year but without calculus. Would you suggest ap physics or anatomy if i want to be a doctor.

AP Physics B is non-calc-based physics. It covers all the concepts in introductory physics, from Mechanics/Kinetics to E&M.

AP Physics C:Mechanics is equivalent to General Physics I (whatever name the semester 1 introductory physics course is at your college), covering Newton’s Law Mechanics & Kinetics. It is calc-based.

AP Physics C:E&M is equivalent to General Physics II - the second semester, covering obviously electricity & magnetism. It is also calc-based.

So, the “C” subsets refer to being calc-based, while the “B” course is non-calc-based. All of the AP Physics courses are full-year courses. The C only covers half a semesters worth of concepts because it includes calculus into its problems.
