Physics courses?

Hello, I’m currently in 11th grade and I’m having trouble deciding which Physics course I should take now that I’ve dropped AP Physics C Mech.(because my teacher told me I haven’t taken Calculus yet which is what AP Physics is based off of)

I’m thinking of retaking AP Physics during my senior year. Should I take regular Physics or Physics Honors this year? I want to take Physics Honors, but the problem is it’s not guaranteed that there’ll be a spot left and I’ll be left with regular Physics.
Would taking regular Physics look bad on my college app(due to it being an easy & simple class) if I’m able to get a good grade in AP Physics next year?

Is both regular and honors physics a pre req for AP Physics? If so, as long as you get an A in regular and get placed into AP Physics C and your counselor can explain why you weren’t able to take honors (schedule conflicts) then you should be fine.

As a bonus, some people who take honors physics may not take AP (depending on how good/awful the teacher is) and may take AP in another science (Chem and/or Bio) so you’ll be good.

Either one would be fine. Try to get into honors if you can, but if there’s no space, stick with regular.
