my friend is taking ap chem, pre-calc, and physics honors next year and he is wondering if it is worth it to take the sat II for physics and if it helps on teh college app for med school. he also was wondering whcih is easier, sat II for chem or for physics.

Med schools won't care what your SAT2's are.
I didn't take the Physics SAT2, but I've heard that it's easier than chem.

Would it matter if you were applying to a college for Pre-med if you had the physics SAT II or not?

No. Chemistry or Biology would be equally good. I didn't even take physics until my senior year (I took the Chem SAT II).

Pre-med is not a major one takes in university; it is a combination of courses that one needs to complete before applying to med school.

Pre-Med Courses
Biology: 1 year with lab
Inorganic Chemistry: 1 year with lab
Organic Chemistry: 1 year with lab
Physics: 1 year with lab
English: 1 year
