Physics placement/ test out exams

Hey,
I was just going through the physics major website and it says that you have to ‘the advanced placement exam’ to be exempted from 151 and 152. Now, does that mean the high school AP exam or does penn have its own test out exam? If they do, has anybody on cc taken test outs in physics 151 and 152? How tough was it? Do anyone have past exam papers? If anyone could help, I’d be highly grateful.
Thanks

First of all, I believe that UPenn doesn't have any internal physics department placement tests, so they mean the CollegeBoard AP test. However, this means that you'll have to take both of the Physics C tests and get a 5 in order to get credit. I haven't taken any of the AP tests in this area, however.

You mean physics 150 and 151. There is no physics 152.

And no, I don't believe you can test out them.

the only way to place out of those classes is to get a double five on physics C. that being said, the classes really aren't that bad and it is quite easy to do well.
