I need an 88 to get into AP Physics C. Any studying advice or tips? Need that 88 or above!!

I, too, would like some tips, I'm terrified of this Regents.

I'm sorry, what an unhelpful response! More like a mooching response, I need advice too.. :p

I think Physics is the only science Regents I haven't/willn't take. However, the rule of thumb for science Regents are all the same: KNOW THE REFERENCE TABLE INSIDE AND OUT!

It's okay, it is the most difficult regents to obtain mastery level. Does anyone want to post questions and try to answer the problems. Kind of like a regents review?

it was hard :[ i hate physics

That was a joke. Way easier than previous exams.

was it really necessary to rub it in?

not everyone is a physics whiz you know. i wish jmap would just put up the answers so i can check if i failed. i just want to pass now...lol.

LOL I know. It WAS hard >.< but hopefully I near 88 scores, they still might place me in AP if I got an 86 or so.

Does anyone know the answers for sure?

What did you guys think was hard?

Freaking Find net force, and acceleration on that object. I didn't know what the net force was and how to find acc. bc v and t weren't given.

Also, what was the energy level for lowest emission?

Also, how to find the frictional force for the sled? What coefficient of friction do you use because it's not given but I used ski on ice or whatever.. >.<

There was an 8N force pulling on it and 6N force of friction so net was 2N. Fnet = ma . m=2.04kg a=.98m/s2

Energy level was 3.

Frictional force of the sled was equal to the magnitude of the horizontal component because it was moving at constant speed. Fnet = 0

Coefficient was wood on wood for kinetic. 0.30

also for the spring one, i messed it up and had to whiteout.
was it 0.19 J and then the max height was like 0.98 m or something? i reallly hope so...

3.33 x 10^-19 J right and then 2.08 ev?

also was the best-fit line didn't touch any points except the last one right?

Yeah you're correct.

omg...im so happy. wait was the resistors one, total resistance like 2.8? and ammeter 1 was current like 3 A? And the missing resistor value was like 10?

Total was 2.4, Current was 4A, missing resistor was 12.

Couldn't we do a best-fit curve? I did because it was changing at a specific rate. I don't think the test specifically requested a straight line.

ok now im sad again
my teacher said to always do best-fit lines.

I got exactly what diginetgod got.

check jmap later...they might put physics mc on

yunu- you got a line or curve? i did line..? its only worth 1 pt anyways

Its a curve. It said draw best fit line or curve

Besides, the graph was obviously hyperbolic, look at the equation. wavelength x frequency = constant.

is a line ok too? :/

some mcs i remember:
for prob 2, 2.2 m/s
increases (concurrent forces)
resonance (glove vibrate)
lower pitch
electric charge
sound (needs medium)
0.2 m (what opening is most diffraction)
