I have recently started looking at Carnegie Mellon to add to my college list (I’m a junior) and really liked Tepper but the requirements for that specific college states that I need to take one year of physics. This is something I won’t be able to place into my schedule for next year and wanted to know if I still have a shot at applying or should I just not consider the school in general. Other schools I’m looking at are Georgetown, Boston College, Penn, Northeastern and Notre Dame and my major would most likely be Business Administration or Marketing. I know Carnegie has a program for business admin and I could do a concentration in marketing.
What prevents you from taking physics?
my schedule for senior year is already set
Most competitive schools want to see some level of physics taken in HS. It’s early February. You have time to revisit your senior schedule with your guidance counselor.
Wrong post category.
But if you’re not enamored with CMU, drop it. Business majors can be found elsewhere and for lower prices.
