I think my physics teacher thinks im retarded. i dont think i am. what can i do to prove him wrong. i admit that my test grades were kinda low, but a lot of people in my class get lower than me. should i work my butt off to prove him wrong?

Maybe you should organize a little poetry/oratory group, and then run it. Give a little inspirational speech in front of your Physics teacher, and watch as his opinion of you skyrockets.

OMG! I have the same problem with my AP environmental teacher. I don't think she thinks i'm retarded, but when i ask questions she answers them in her slow, special voice. I have to constantly make up reasons to tell her about my class rank and grades. Pathetic, huh?

hah my ap gov teacher thinks im retarted too
earlier this week he told me that he may have to go "talk to the counselor about switching me out of AP because i will not pass the AP test and bring his average down"

little does he know that under my belt i have 9 AP classes and a gpa of 4.25

but i dont see a reason to tell him that, let the ignorant think what he wants

My freshman English teacher asked me if I was special ed.... I told her I was (since Gifted students fall under special ed in NC) and I got to read easy books :) lol I spose I got payed back for it cause Ive had the same guy for my other English classes and hes not easy by any means

As much as i love hearing about your awesome stories, i would like to receive some list of what steps i should take to wring the hatred that man has for me out of his old ******* body.

Um maybe my line of thinking is just too out of the box , but uh why dont you just do better on tests. It seems like a good way to me.

my ap physics teacher asked me if i was on an Ed plan and if i needed more time on tests

you could kill him?!?!

What an ass. Bring him a copy of your transcript and ***** slap him to the floor.

You could sit in the front of your class, ask good questions, etc...?

lol. :) My precalc teacher asked me if English was my second language on the first day of school because I asked her how to spell something...and I look all Asian and such.

you don't have to be smart to have a good GPA, just hard working.

no, why? unless class participation counts and you need that grade or something.

Participation is still a way to separate yourself from all the other students. It makes you stand out, and if you say intelligent things it may even cause you to look intelligent. Or at the very least, hard-working. And usually teachers like stupid hard-working people a lot -- sometimes even more than the smart people.

^^ As long as your class participation doesn't involve answering the questions wong out loud.

That's my problem with AP calc.

You should participate more and your physics teacher will be like WOW! I did that for physics too ;p

My physics teacher last year must have thought I wasn't very smart too. It was a hard subject for me and I daydreamed in class most of the time. It was a little irking but I wasn't going to take Physics II next year so I didn't really care.
