Hello all, I am currently a planned Physics Major with Pre-Med and I am making my schedule for next year, and I want one more class.

Currently my schedule is:

MAC2311 Calculus with Analytical Geometry I
ANT 2000 General Anthropology*
ENC 1101 English Composition I*
COM 1000 Introduction to Communication*

*Classes being taken for general education requirement because nearly every science class is full.

Right now I am looking for classes to open up pertaining to my major/pre-med, but so far nothing has come up, so I am considering taking one more General Education requirement so I have one less "annoying" class later. Right now, I am looking at taking MUH 2017 (History of Rock) because of my high interest in the subject. Would the addition of this class be overbearing to me do you think? Or is it quite viable? Any other feedback is grateful, thank you :)

I really would recommend chm 2045. if you go onto myucf at around 1, you can most likely sign up for a science class because more seats are opened but the students registering aren’t able to actually register until 1:30. and if you knock out most of your gen eds in the beginning, you won’t have any easy classes, and you’ll be hurting yourself by taking so many hard classes at once.

I will try for Chemistry 1 then, but so far it’s been full these past full days.
Is there any other alternative do you think class wise? Or do you think waiting for the add/drop week would be my best bet?

i agree with peacemkr. i was able to switch from 2040 to 2045 last friday at one. if you aren’t able to get it, then you can try taking bio 1 or statistics, or any of the other prerequisites.

I’ve been trying to pick up a chem class for fall. Does anyone know how the discussion classes can be open but the lecture classes closed? I thought when you dropped the discussion you dropped the lecture too.

i think that they have more spots in the discussions than they do in the lectures.
have you tried checking on registration dates? i’ve been able to change chem classes twice. you should try around 12:45 or 1

Yea, I have tried looking around the registration dates. Last registration, there were only discussion classes open around 1. I’m thinking about going to the class during Add/Drop week. Is that a good idea?
