Okay so may 1st yesterday was the deadline for letting colleges know if you are attending or not. All my teachers and friends suggested San Jose state for me and told me that it has good networking opportunities but in my heart I wanted to go to cal poly Pomona because i felt like I belonged there more, it just felt more right. I had major withdraws when I realized I picked the wrong college and the deadline was yesterday, so I called CPP told them what happened and they said I could appeal within 15 days . Now I’m questioning if I get charged a fee for not going to sjsu like I said I would? Btw what do you guys know about the school , I want to know which school is better for networking and helping me find a job after college and which school is more enjoyable as in campus life. Or personal stories, please share
If you change your enrollment from SJSU to CPP, you will loose your original enrollment deposit from SJSU.
What is your intended major? CPP has good recruiting depending upon major and finding jobs will also depend upon you and the job skill set you have when applying, not just the school you attend.
My advice is go to the school where you will be happy since a happy student is a successful student.
Major I got in as anthropology at CPP but I’m intending on switching to business or hospitality because I’m looking to becoming a wedding planner , I don’t know if that’s a huge con to look for? I put anthropology because I thought it was interesting but now not so much . Sjsu I put down industrial design but I don’t think I’m creative enough for this major anymore. These are completely different majors I know but right now I’m leaning towards becoming an event/wedding planner what do you suggest?
You seem undecided with your major so you need to figure out which school would allow you the chance to explore more major options and the ease of switching majors. Are there cost differences and do you need to take these into consideration? Also do not decline your enrollment at SJSU until you are certain of your spot at CPP.
