What did you guys put for your picture on the application? Funny, serious, group, single? Whats the criteria?

Single, somewhat serious, though it could be funny, I suppose.

We just sent a school wallet photo....it was used for the ID card.

I think they're looking for a picture of you - not you and your buddies. I don't think they're looking for your creativity to shine forth here either. Just play it safe.

They are just looking for a simple photo, so they can remember you, sometimes one hundreds of names can be confusing. So when they look at your application they can go "Oh yeah I remember that kid, I really liked him. He was very polite." Use one that you may use in something such as a passport or a drivers license. Just a simple picture.

Just a photo of myself or something. I think my mom took a picture of me in a nice dress before I went to a party, and I put it on there. Single photo - not a very busy background. Smile. It looks positive. :D

And I know of at least two schools that use those photos you send in to prepare the facebook they distribute at the beginning of the year. So bear in mind that whatever you send in may be immortalized for an entire school year and become the "you" your classmates see when they look you up in The Book.

Smile Dog makes a very good point. Make it a good picture. When it comes time for dating people often look in the book to see who everybody likes.
