pictures of dorms?

Is there anywhere that current students could point me to that shows pictures from inside of dorms (the lounge areas, computer labs, a dorm, etc). I'm in Mojo and I'm curious about what it looks like on the inside but I can't find anything except for pictures of the outside and dinning hall.

Thanks.

I may have a few pictures, but it’ll take me a bit of time to find them. I did a quick Google search, so I’ll try and share what I found.

This is a standard room, dimensions of the rooms vary widely, but this is what most rooms look like. Each person has a furniture setup. It is modular. When you move in, there should be a card on the back of your door with all of the possible set-ups.

The picture on the right of the page is one of three classrooms. In these, you will have (assuming that you’re in MRC) your UC 104 class as well as study groups.

This is a picture of the computer workstations in the CLC (Community Learning Center). This is sort of a study room. There are 9 Open use computers, and 3 CAEN Engineering Specific computers.

As soon as I can find my pictures, I’ll post them.

thank you, your information was helpful, helped get a better sense of the dorm, I look forward to those pictures.

Ok, I was able to pull a few pictures from when I was trying to show my family what the dorm looked like.

This first image is just of Observatory St. It is out of the front of the building (Away from Central Campus). You can see (From Right to Left) Kinesiology Lodge, School of Public Health, and then the UM Hospital.

This is a picture from one of the side front entrances. This is the Jordan side of the building.

http://i1179.■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■/albums/x399/wolverine2014/JoLounge.jpg</a>
This is the Jordan Lounge. It’s one of the many study lounges from within the building. While this lounge is not a noise restricted lounge, on the opposite side of the building, the Morgue (Mosher Lounge) is a silent study room.

http://i1179.■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■/albums/x399/wolverine2014/FloorLounge.jpg</a>
In addition to the main study lounges on the lower floors of the building, each floor (3rd through 5th) has two smaller lounges. Each lounge has tables and chairs, however some also have tv’s.

http://i1179.■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■/albums/x399/wolverine2014/Hall.jpg</a>
This is what the halls look like. Each floor (3rd through 5th) are continuous corridors, with exception of the alcoves which are separated from the rest of the floor.

Here’s an example of a room that has a bay window. There are a few of these rooms scattered throughout the building.

The last picture that I have is from the 1st Floor looking at the staircase down to the cafeteria.

Just to give you a little bit of reference, here’s how the floors break down; (As of last year)

5th: WISE (Women in Science and Engineering)
4th: WISE/MRC/eRes (Entrepreneurs in Residence)
3rd: MRC
2nd: Community Center, Morgue and Jordan Lounges, as well as two social lounges.
1st: Community Learning Center (Computer Lab), Classrooms, MRC/WISE staff offices, and open social lounges
Basement: Cafeteria
(1st and 2nd Floors had rooms for non Living Learning Community upperclassmen last year)

Feel free to let me know if you have any other questions.

thank you very much, thats exactly the pictures and information I was looking for!

How are the bathrooms?

Haha, sorry, but I don’t have any bathroom pictures. Except for a couple single rooms, Mojo has community bathrooms. The bathrooms have ~6 sinks, 4 showers, and 4 toilets. The showers are broken into individual stalls, and have curtains. There are also individual ‘lockers’ to store toiletries. They, however, don’t lock.

haha its all good I wasn’t expecting any pictures, just a description like that. Thanks for all of your info it really is insightful. Anything else that I should know or prepare for as I get ready to leave in MoJo this year?
