I want to be in Mistletoe, but I dont know which house I actually want to be in. Does anyone have any information about any of these dorms? Atmosphere, people, living space, proximity to classes/buildings, living conditions, etc? I suppose the first two change from year to year though lolz

people, atmosphere changes year to year, depending on incoming class. look on your case checklist, housing link to look at layout, and proximity of buildings. Pierce is closest to dining hall, but we are only talking about a few feet closer. Good thing is that it’s all freshmen there.

You should definitely go to the Case '16 facebook group. Most people there are already in houses. Talk to them to get a feel of the best house fit for you. I wish I had done that my freshman year!

I chose Storrs this past year based on the facebook group and where my roommate and I could get a room. That being said, each building layout is EXACTLY the same. The buildings are no more than 20m apart from each other and all in the same part of North side. Each one has a coed, female, and male floor. I found that the distribution of the “type” of people went more by floor than by building. In short, it really doesn’t matter any way and you will be happy as long as you are in Mistletoe!

Definitely get a feel for the people though- I chose my room in Pierce last year at the very beginning, and once I moved in I didn’t really fit in with the people who lived there. I ended up moving to a different house in a different community and absolutely loved it. Its all personal preference though

Since the floors are co-ed, does that mean that one side is girls with their bathroom in between the rooms and boys on the other side with their own bathroom?

Yes, exactly
