Pitt and meeting need

I have my EFC from my FAFSA and am interested to hear, based on experience, what Pitt does to meet need? I am guessing this could be through need based aid - grants and/or scholarships.

And, how close they come to meeting the need?

pretty good on need. our package ending up being family EFC + need based grant + $5500 in student loans to meet what Pitt projected my kid’s cost would be, and our EFC is high enough that many other schools would probably have laughed at the option of offering us a need based grant

i was very suprised and pleased with Pitt’s genorosity with the size of the grant
