****PITT CLASS OF 2022 DECISIONS THREAD****

@fall2018 Did the video make reference to the nursing program or did you find that out when you received the letter in the mail?

D was just accepted! Applied October 22, notified today November 2. Great news!!

@nursing2022 I believe that is just a generic letter sent out. My D received that about a week before her acceptance letter came in the mail and that specifically said she was in the honors college and would be considered for Merit scholarships. Hope that helps.

Kayak24 My D applied to the School of Nursing on 10/29. She just logged into see her application status yesterday and there are no buttons yet. What school did your D apply to? And how long was it until the buttons appeared on the status page?

@Zingerdad , D applied to Dietrich. The buttons were not there this morning but they were there this afternoon, so I know they changed today. Is your D checking the App or the website? The buttons change on the App. Good luck and feel free to ask any more questions I may not have answered.

@Kayak24 - She was checking the website, but I just suggested that she download the app. Thanks and I hope we have good news soon!

Keep us posted!

@Kayak24 - Buttons appeared on her status page on the web site today. Does that mean that acceptance is coming? Also - When you refer to the App, do you mean the “Pitt Mobile” app? That is the only one we found. It seems to be for enrolled students.

Hi @Zingerdad , I was told the buttons are on the app but that some have been able to see them when logged in to the web page. I’m assuming if your daughter can see them, that should mean acceptance is coming.

Acceptance arrives first via an email message, followed by a letter in the mail. It’s been reported that the email arrives a few days after the buttons change and some have said the email arrived around 3pm.

Yes, the App is the Pitt Mobile App and you login with the same credentials as for the website (via Pitt Passport). There, you can check your Application status under “My Academics” but it won’t show much besides the accept/decline button and the school you were accepted to (e.g. Dietrich). Merit awards are mailed separately and won’t be posted online.

@Kayak24 - D received the email yesterday! All pressure is off since Pitt is one of her top 3 choices. Waiting to hear from about six more schools and then decide.

Has anyone heard about plans for an Accepted Students Weekend?

@Zingerdad I haven’t yet but looking forward to putting that date on the calendar :). Congratulations t your Daughter!!

Hey so I just want to know something about the button, it says now I can “accept or decline the admission”, is that meaning I got in? Or there are still some possibilities I might not? Should I click accept? Because currently I early decision’d to another school, so I wonder if “accept” means commit to enrolling, thank you guys so much if you can answer my questions!

@Joezzzzz Do not click “Accept” unless you want to enroll. When the buttons show up, it is a sign that you have been accepted! You should get an email with a link to a video welcoming you within the next day or two. Congrats!
